Myanmar now has 1,426 new cases of COVID-19 and 27 more deaths, according to the statement made by the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on October 26 at 8:00 pm.
From October 25 at 8:00 pm to October 26 at 8:00pm, a total of 12,400 samples were tested and found 1,426 new cases.
Among the 27 deaths, 24 had underlying chronic medical conditions. The total number of deaths is now 1122.
Myanmar has so far conducted 618,243 samples and found 46,200 positive patients while 26,007 people were recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospital with 1,122 deaths.
Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
