Myanmar found 1,818 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on September 22 bringing total number of patients to 451,663, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).
A total of 20,178 samples are tested between 8 pm of September 21 and 8 pm of September 22 and found 1,818 patients. 64 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 17,266, according to a report from the ministry.
The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.1 700-Bed Military Hospital in Pyin-Oo-Lwin, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.
A total of 4,168,427 samples are tested till September 22 and 2,159 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospitals bringing total number to 404,479, it said.
As of September 21, Myanmar has 3.583 million people who received full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 2.575 million people who received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, totaling 9.742 million jabs, according to the MOH.
