Myanmar reports 1,212 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on Nov 11

Myanmar found 1,212 new COVID-19 confirmed patients on November 11 bringing the total number of patients to 64,453 and 19 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 11.

A total of 15,534 samples are tested between 8 pm of November 10 and 8 pm of November 11 and found 1,212 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 1,121 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 48,532. 15 out of 19 patients died on November 11 are the patients with underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,480 patients have died from the virus, it said.

It said 836,697 samples were tested till November 11 and found 64,453 patients so far.

A total of 1,687 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
