Myanmar has seen 363 more Covid-19 cases and 12 more deaths, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported on the night of January 29.
A total of 18,271 swabs were tested from January 28 at 8:00 pm to January 29 at 8:00 pm, and 363 new cases were confirmed.
A total of 508 Covid-19 patients were also discharged from hospital on the same day, bringing the total number of people who recovered from the illness to 124,064.
Of the 12 deaths, 11 had pre-existing chronic medical conditions. And there have so far been 3,115 deaths from Covid-19, the ministry reported.
Till January 29, there were a total of 2,357,743 samples tested, 139,515 confirmed cases, 124,064 recoveries and 3,115 deaths, the ministry announced.
For January 29 also, 433 of those in close contact with the Covid-19 patients in Yangon Region tested negative for Covid-19 but they have been put in home quarantine, the ministry said.
