Myanmar has created a dinosaur robot that can travel for more than two hours on battery power.
Ko Aung Kyaw Hlaing, a resident of PyinOoLwin created the robot. He said he took more than two months to make the robot.
"It took more than two months because there was no electricity. There were days when the electricity was out a whole day while I was working. That's why it took so long. And some robots made abroad are not comfortable for the riders. I have to make it safe for the children to ride it,” said Ko Aung Kyaw Hlaing.
The cost of making the robot was about 1.5 million kyats. It can run for up to two hours when the battery is fully charged. It will be housed in a dinosaur park in PyinOoLwin.
"I made it as a friend asked me if I could make such a robot," said Ko Aung Kyaw Hlaing.
Ko Aung Kyaw Hlaing used to work in the automotive industry in Mandalay and is currently working in the steel business.
The robot was created using a battery in the form of a Triceratops, an extinct dinosaur.
