Myanmar lowest among ASEAN countries in Covid-19 recovery rate

Myanmar stands lowest among ASEAN member countries in Covid-19 recovery rate as just over 26 percent of more than 10,000 patients have recovered, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Sports. 

Till September 27, the hardest-hit Philippines’ recovery rate was 83 percent because 252,510 of over 300,000 patients have recovered, accounting for 83 percent. 

Likewise, there were 203,014 recoveries (73.77 %) out of over 270,000 patients in Indonesia, 57,359 recoveries (99.41 %) out of over 57,000 patients in Singapore, 9,835 recoveries (90.07 %) out of over 10,000 patients in Malaysia, 2,862 recoveries (26.66 %) out of over 10,000 patients in Myanmar, 3,367 recoveries (95.57%) out of over 3,500 patients in Thailand, 999 recoveries (93.02%) out of over 1,000 patients in Vietnam, 274 recoveries (99.28%) out of 276 patients in Cambodia, 142 recoveries (97.26%) out of 146 patients in Brunei and 22 recoveries (95.65%) out of 23 patients in Laos. 

From September 27 to 28, Myanmar tested 5,597 samples and reported 897 confirmed cases. Till September 28, there were 11,631 cases and 3,073 recoveries.
