The Ministry of Commerce has reported that over 20 tons of pharmaceuticals valued at approximately US$0.28 million were imported from Thailand within a month.
From August 1 to August 23, 2024, pharmaceuticals worth $46.88 million, weighing over 1,700 tons, were imported through maritime trade. The imports came from countries including Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Germany, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Thailand.
In a previous period from July 1 to July 26, pharmaceuticals valued at $33.839 million and weighing around 2,600 tons were imported by sea from the same countries.
In May, from the 1st to the 24th, approximately 1,400 tons of pharmaceuticals worth $27.501 million were imported through maritime trade from Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Germany, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Thailand.
At the border, between May 1 and May 24, over 600 tons of pharmaceuticals worth approximately $0.313 million were imported. This included over 500 tons from China and over 100 tons from Thailand.
From April 1 to April 26, pharmaceuticals weighing about 1,500 tons, valued at $23.229 million, were imported through maritime trade. The pharmaceuticals came from Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Germany, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Thailand.
