Chili, onion, fishery products and CMP materials mostly exported to Thailand via Myawaddy border within 5 days, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

From November 15 to 19, Myanmar exported farm produce such as chili, cabbage, onion, sesame, mung beans, fishery products, and mining products such as lead and CMP materials. However, chili, onion, fishery products and CMP materials mostly exported to Thailand via Myawaddy border.

Fishery products which are easy to perish and culinary crops such as chili and onion are in the priority list for fast exporting.

From November 15 to 19, animals’ food, bicycles, clothing, stationery, car spare parts, construction materials and machinery, fertilizer, cycle spare parts, electronics, food stuff, cosmetics, medicines, shoes, fruits, paints, household commodities, factory commodities, equipment and fishing materials were imported.

From Myawaddy border trade zone, it earned US $10.389 million from export, US$ 43.447 million from import and total trade volume of US$ 53.836 million from November 1 to 17 according to Ministry of Commerce.

From October 1 to September, 2019-2020 FY, Myanmar exported US$ 3095.988 million while Thailand has imported US $ 2021.925 million.

In 2018-2019 FY, Myanmar-Thai trade earned US$ 5465.173 million, while Myanmar exported US$ 3277.575 million and Thai imported US$ 2187.598 million.

From April 1, 2018 to September 2018, Myanmar-Thai trade earned US$ 2958.039 million, while Myanmar exported US$ 1559.454 million and Thai imported US$ 1398.585 million.

In 2017-2018 FY, Myanmar-Thai trade earned US$ 5074.707 million while Myanmar exported US$ 2846.066 million and Thai imported US$ 2228.641 million.

In 2016-2017 FY, Myanmar-Thai trade earned US$ 4288.172 million while Myanmar exported US$ 2212.234 million and Thai imported US$ 2085.938 million.

The priority sectors for 2020-2025 National Export Strategy are farm products, production of basic commodities, garment, electricity and industry, fishery products, forestry products, digital products, services sector, transportation services sector, management sector, trade and information.
