Myanmar found two more COVID-19 cases, bringing the number of COVID-19 patients to ten as of March 29, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports.
According to the lab results on March 29, 82 persons in hospital quarantine tested negative for COVID-19 while one person from Pale Myo Thit hospital and one person from Waibargi hospital tested positive for the virus, announced the ministry on March 29.
A 44-year old man (Case-09), lived in Pale Myo Thit, Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region, was arrived in Yangon from Thailand via Myawady on March 26. He suffered illness and coughs on March 26 and admitted to Pale Myo Thit hospital to monitor. He will be transferred to Waibargi hospital, announced the ministry.
A 45-year old man (Case-10), who had close contact with the confirmed patient (Case-05) lived in Mingala Taungnyunt Township and quarantined at Waibargi hospital on March 28, is tested positive on March 29 and he will put in isolation to have medical treatment at Waibargi hospital, announced the ministry.
The health condition of two confirmed patients is in stable at the present.
Case-10 had no travel history within 14 days but the Case-09 returned from Thailand on March 23, it said.
Myanmar confirmed its first COVID-19 case on March 23 and found two COVID-19 cases on March 23, one case on March 25, two cases on March 27, three cases on March 28 and two cases on March 29, it said.
