Myanmar delegation visits Russia to attend Eastern Economic Forum

The delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister for Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo, left Yangon International Airport for Russia on September 8 to attend the 8th Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok, Russia.

In the Myanmar delegation, along with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Trade, Union Minister for Industry, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, officials from the departments and the General Secretary of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) are included.

At the invitation of Mr. Anton Kobyakov, the adviser to the president of the Russian Federation and the executive secretary of the organizing committee of the forum, the Myanmar delegation led by the deputy prime minister will attend the 8th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held from September 10 to 13. Yangon Region Chief Minister Soe Thein, Major General Zaw Hein, Commander of the Yangon Command, Deputy Minister of the Ministry, officials from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Myanmar accompanied them at Yangon International Airport.
