Myanmar army donated medical supplies worth over 300,000 US dollars to China on 25 February so as to help China’s efforts to contain the COVID-19, according to the statement by the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army).
A team led by Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein from the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) transported medical supplies to China by the military-owned flight.
Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo formally met Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein, the Chinese Ambassador and military attaches, at the hall in Nay Pyi Taw Airport and explained the purpose of donation.
Myanmar’s military flight carrying medical supplies left Nay Pyi Taw Airport at 8 am and arrived at Kunming International Airport at 11 am.
Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein handed over medical supplies to Major General Zhang Pingium, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
