On the morning of September 9, at around 10:30 AM, a mortar shell explosion in Thapyani village, Bilin Township, Mon State, injured a 55-year-old grandmother, Daw Mi Thei, and her 14-year-old granddaughter, Ma Nan Shwe Yi, according to the sources.

The injured were transported to Thaton District Hospital by a local rescue team, according to local sources.

Earlier that day, at around 9 AM, an armed group attacked a security checkpoint on the Yangon-Mawlamyine road at Thae Phyu Chuang Bridge, near the border of Bilin and Kyaikhto townships, using heavy and light weapons, sparking a skirmish.

At approximately 2 PM, another attack occurred when a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle traveling from Kyaikhto to Bilin was targeted with small arms fire.

 A passenger, 37-year-old Ma Kay Thi Oo from Kawtdut Village in Ye Township, was injured with a bullet wound to her upper left waist. 

She was taken to Bilin Township Hospital in serious condition.

Additionally, at around 11 AM, a clash occurred near the Ma Saw Bridge on the Yangon-Mawlamyine road close to Taungkalay village. 

Armed groups attacked security forces stationed at the bridge, causing road closures from 9 AM until about 2:30 PM, after which traffic resumed.

A similar incident took place on August 17, when armed groups attacked security forces at the Ma Saw Bridge, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to at least five others.

On September 1, a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle was struck by a landmine near Kamar Sai village in Thaton Township, Mon State, resulting in two fatalities, including the driver, and injuries to five passengers.
