As the numbers of COVID-19 patients have increased in Tamu Township in Sagaing Region and Kyikhar in Tonzang Township, Chin State, Ministry of Health and Sports has sent medical supplies to treat COVID-19 patients there according to Minister for Health and Sports at the coordination meeting to control COVID-19 held in Nay Pyi Taw on May 28.
On May 27, 96 new COVID-19 cases were found in entire Myanmar including Tamu in Sagain Region and Kyikhar in Tonzang Township, Chin State. To be able to provide effective treatment and to control the spread of COVID-19, medical supplies have been providing to Kyikhar in Tonzang and Tamu. At the same time, lockdown were made, samples were taken in collaboration with respective administrative organizations, the minister said. Similarly, medical supplies were also provided to other regions where infection rate has risen. Ministry of Health and Sports has issued a statement that Tonzang and Tamu are now Stay at Home order.
Those in the Stay at Home order must follow the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health.
