Matkyan militia (MTA) is invited pilgrims to visit Larba Theikdi Pagoda and Zinayahta Tayza Image, the world biggest in statues made of thin bamboo strips, located in Pan Lin Sai, Matkyan area, Nantsan Township, Loilin Distrcit, southern Shan State, said Sai Aung, General Staff of the area for the MTA.
The Larba Theikdi Pagoda, which is a replica of Bodh Gaya, is start built in 2013 and finished in 2015. Myanmar architects built it and eight dragons are guarding in four entrances of the pagoda.
The Zinayahta Tayza Image, which is located near the Larba Theikdi Pagoda, is built on March 20, 2019 and finished on July 2, 2019, said the Leading Monk U Wimalapuhti.
The statue has 63 feet and three inches in height and coated oleo-resin obtained from the lacquer tree. It is the biggest all over the world and second largest Image of its kind is located in India.
Its hair length has nine feet in total and it is the same with its face, ear, palm and sole. The lengths of its nose, eyes and mouth have three feet in width each.
Pilgrims came to Pan Lin Sai every day and Pan Lin Sai is teeming with pilgrims in full moon and moonless days.
