A man was robbed of his car and killed in Mandalay city, local sources said.

A social media post requested any information about Ko Ye Htet, aged 30, living in Myitlaung village near Htonebo toll gate in Amarapura Township as contact was lost with him after he had left home in a white Suzuki car for picking up a thing from the industrial zone.

At about 2pm on July 26, a social aid organization found a man dead with injuries in a bush between 138th and 139 streets and 78th 79th streets and sent the body to hospital. Then, the organization posted news online about the dead man.

It was later confirmed that the dead man was Ko Ye Htet, who left home in his Suzuki. Authorities concerned are reportedly investigating both car loss and murder.
