MABA 10th Anniversary Festival to Be Held for Two Days at Mingalar Mandalay

The 10th anniversary celebration of the Japan Myanmar Business Alliance Association (MABA) will be held for two days on June 6 and 7 at Mingalar Mandalay in Mandalay, according to reports.

The event, titled “Mandalay-Japan Festival & SME Bazaar,” is being organized to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Myanmar, showcase products from both countries, and strengthen trade cooperation. A wide range of programs and activities are planned for the celebration.

The festival will feature booths and exhibitions from SMEs and sponsors based in Mandalay, a Japanese sake introduction program by the Noble Oak-Myanmar Friendship Association, exhibition booths from member companies of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, opportunities to wear traditional Japanese Yukata and take photographs, performances by the Myanmar Cosplay Association, Japanese quizzes and dance programs by the Japan Foundation, and traditional fashion and dance performances representing three eras of Mandalay culture.

The event will also include Myanmar traditional elephant dances, ethnic traditional dances, Japanese Bon Odori performances, and DJ music entertainment.

The promotion area will be divided into four zones to showcase various sectors and activities. In addition to displays highlighting traditional Japanese and Myanmar cultures, lucky draw programs will also be included. Organizers also plan to publish a commemorative magazine marking MABA’s 10th anniversary.
