Lt. Gen. Ni Lin Aung has been appointed as the Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and given the joint responsibility of Police Chief, according to a statement issued by the State Administration Council (SAC) on July 21.

The SAC issued Decree No. 47/2023 regarding the appointment of the Deputy Minister and the joint assignment of the Police Chief.

In the statement, the SAC has appointed Lt. Gen. Ni Lin Aung as the Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and given him the joint responsibility of Police Chief in accordance with Article 419 of the Constitution.

Similarly, the SAC announced that U Zin Min Htet was appointed as the Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs by Decree No. 46/2023 and Dr. Soe Win, the Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs was transferred as the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council by Decree No. 45/2023.
