A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal and may intensify into a depression, according to an announcement of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) on July 11.

According to the weather forecast for the second ten days of July, a low pressure may form over the Bay of Bengal may intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon wind will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain will be expected above normal in lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Tanintharyi regions and Southern and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon states, below normal in Rakhine State and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, upper Sagaing, Bago regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin states.

Rainy days will be expected about 7 to 10 days in upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon states and about 3 to 6 days in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway regions and Kayah State.

In July, rain will be expected above normal in East Bago, Yangon, Tanintharyi regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon states and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago, Ayeyawady regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine states.

Rainy days will be expected about 9 to 15 days in lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway regions, about 16 to 22 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah states and about 23 to 29 days in upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Tanintharyi regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon states.

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Eastern Shan State, below normal in West Bago Region and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon states.

Rainy days are expected about 7 to 10 days in upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon states and 3 to 6 days in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah states.
