A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal for the second ten-day of June, and rainfall is likely to be above normal in most regions and states, announced the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

According to the statement, a low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyawady regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, southern Shan states and about normal in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, northern and eastern Shan states.

Rainy days are expected about 7 to 9 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, upper Sagaing, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, northern and southern Shan and about 4 to 6 days in Mandalay, lower Sagaing regions and Kayah, eastern Shan states.
