Local fuel prices drop slightly

According to the information released by the Supervisory Committee for the Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oils, fuel oil prices have dropped slightly with one litre of 92 Ron decreasing to K2,045.

 According to the prices available on April 25, the price of one litre of 92 Ron was K2,045, one litre of 95 Ron K2,140, one litre of premium diesel K2,065, and one litre of ordinary diesel K1,985.

During the Thingyan Water Festival period, prices of fuel oil hiked and there was no drop in prices even after the festival period. But after April 23, the prices gradually dropped.

On the first day of the Myanmar New Year, one litre of 92 Ron was K2,235, one litre of 95 Ron K2,300, one litre of premium diesel K2,175, and one litre of ordinary diesel K2,095.

During the festival period, fuel oil prices were more than K2,000 per litre.

Fuel oil prices at local fuel stations on the eve of the water festival were K 2,225 per litre of 92 Ron, K2,295 per litre of 95 Ron, K2,160 per litre of premium diesel, and K2,080 per litre of ordinary diesel.

Only on the eve of the water festival there was a slight drop in fuel prices and on the rest of the days of the festival, there was a rise of an average of K5.

Since January of this year the price of one litre of fiel oils was above K 2000.

Price of one litre of 92 Ron hiked up to K 2,300 in January.

According to the price list on 23 January, one litre of 92 was K2,305, one litre of 95 K2,385, one litre of ordinary diesel K2,480, and one litre of premium diesel K2,560 respectively.
