Union Minister for Labour U Chit Swe said that new workers are being sent based on the number of workers returning from abroad and the number of new workers to be sent.
The Minister of Labour made the remarks during a meeting with officials from the Myanmar Overseas Employment Agency Association (MOEAA) at the Vocational Training Academy (Yankin) in Yankin Township, Yangon Region.
In order to reduce the shortage of domestic workers and the loss of human resources, the number of workers to be sent is being compared with the number of workers who have completed their working years and returned from abroad. The number of workers to be sent abroad is being examined and approved in accordance with the country-specific dispatch procedures (SOPs) published in state newspapers regarding the process of sending Myanmar workers abroad, the Union Minister said.
In addition, he urged agencies to send workers to countries with high wage benefits, and to follow the orders, instructions, rules and regulations, and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the Department of Labour in carrying out the process of sending workers, said the Union Minister.
