The Karen National Union (KNU) and the People’s Defence Force (PDF) attacked eight locations in Kawkareik, and at the moment they are ambushing and firing from the distance with heavy weapon, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).
Major General Zaw Min Tun added the above while speaking about the situation of the encounter on December 1.
"In the Kayin State, KNU and PDF attacked eight locations in Kawkareik today. Here, the battle took place almost all day. It is reported that the KNU and PDF suffered many casualties. The situation in Kawkareik is now ambush shooting and only shooting from a distance with heavy weapons," Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Regarding the situation of contact fighting in Rakhine State, there are attacks on Tron Ay Camp with drop bombs using drones, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said, "The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) fired homemade rockets at Laukkai town in northern Shan State. In Kayah State, there was a shooting at the state police chief's office. They attacked with drop bombs."
During the ongoing fighting in the Kokang region of Shan State (north), In addition to the TNLA, MNDAA, and AA, Kokang people assembled from other forces and drone experts from abroad are included, SAC announced.
