Sagaing- A crime reporter and his wife were shot and killed at Yanant Thit Tea Shop on Pinlon Lanmadaw Street in the town of Kalay, Sagaing Region, according to local sources.
The couple was shot dead by an unknown gunman when they were sitting at the tea shop on the afternoon of July 11.
Sein Lin, the journalist, lives in Aung Mingalar Ward in Kalay and used to work as a crime reporter of SH news agency.
Afterwards, he founded and establihed SL news agency, according to sources close to him.
“His neighbors said that he claimed himself to be a crime reporter, but he was acting as a informant. Consequently, he then moved to Aung Mingalar Ward,” said a nearby resident.
On the night of July 10, a man and a woman living in Aung Mingalar Ward were also found dead with gunshot wounds near the bridge between Hsegyi village and Nyaungtaw village, local people reported.
