JOOX Music, a Chinese Tech Company, to stop investment in Myanmar

A Chinese Tech Company “JOOX Music” will stop its investment in Myanmar beginning from July 6, according to a statement made by JOOX Music Myanmar.

Due to the changes in the market, it has to stop investment in Myanmar according to the JOOX Music Myanmar statement. JOOX is a mobile application and can listen to more than 45 million of songs. It is a music streaming service owned by Tencent, which entered Myanmar market in 2015. It is the biggest music streaming app in Asian markets such as Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand.

After the political changes in Myanmar, some JOOX app users uninstalled JOOX app from their mobile phones and some singers from Myanmar removed their songs from the app.
