A total of 2636 kilogram of jade was seized in Muse, northern Shan State on October 16.

According to a tip off, two vehicles coming from Lashio towards Muse were stopped at the Asia World toll gate. Kaungton ward in Muse. The jade stones, hidden in secret compartments, were seized from the two vehicles.

The haul weighed 1388 kilogram with an estimated value of Ks.52, 720,000. It is investigated that the jades were transported via Mandalay to Kyaukse- Ywa Ngan- Aungban-Taunggyi-Loilin- Pinlon- Lecha-Mankaing- Namlan- Thibaw-Muse.

Muse police station has taken action against the  two drivers of the vehicles under the precious minerals law.
