Due to continuous torrential rain, the officials from Irrigation Department will be taking out a little water from Zalathtaw dam situated in Bago Region. So, the irrigated water will be flowing into the four villages near the dam, according to the announcement of Bago Region Government Committee.
As it has been raining continuously, pouring heavily day in and day out, the Spill Way of Zalathtaw dam already has been flooded and it was destroyed about 50-ft.
With the aim to reduce the momentum of water from the Zalathtaw dam, the dam’s officials will be taking out water from the dam to the Zalathtaw creek. So, the irrigated water will flow into the four villages near the dam, says the Bago Region Government Committee.
The Bago Region Government Committee also urged the people not to worry and believe the rumours about the unleashing irrigated water and they will be announcing the news about the dam in timely.
