Reports indicate that five houses were damaged, and one person was injured early this morning due to the firing of homemade rocket launchers in Aungmyaethazan Township, Mandalay Region.

 The rockets landed and exploded between 78th and 79th Streets and 80th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Streets in Aungmyaethazan, causing significant damage.

The targeted area is near Mandalay's moat, specifically on 12th Street, suggesting the palace may have been the intended target. 

Security forces previously found homemade rocket launchers aimed at the palace near 66th Street on the eastern side of Mandalay's moat last year. 

Another similar incident occurred in the same year, where rocket launchers were seized at the apartment and the rocks aimed at the southern part of the moat on 26th Street (B).
