Yangon-As a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Transport and Communications ordered the highway bus lines to reduce the number of passengers by half and double ticket prices, on 28 March.

According to the statement, the order will take effect from 28 March to 30 April.

The ministry distributed this directive to relevant district and township bus line associations.

Actions will be taken against bus lines which fail to follow the directive.

There have been eight  confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports.
