A high school teacher from Aungpanchaung village, Yesagyo township, Magway Region, was murdered by having her throat slit on 28 November.
The victim was a teacher from Basic Education High School (Sinmaye), who lived in Aungpanchaung village.
Some PDF (people’s defence force) members came to the village and abducted her.
Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson for the State Administration Council, said: "It was found that an atrocious act of slitting the neck of a high school teacher from Aungpanchaung village was committed by the PDF. Such an inhumane act should be condemned by the general public".
Since February 2021, about 7,000 persons, including political party members, education staff, health staff and village administration officials nationwide have been murdered on the pretext of being informers and non-CDM members.
