The second dose of Covid-19 vaccination for health workers has continued in some regions and states of Myanmar, according to the ministry of health and sports.
Nearly 100,000 health workers and volunteers received Covid-19 jabs till January 31.
Immunization for health staff started on January 27 with 30,551 on January 27, 37,728 on January 29 and 17,315 on January 29. Then, vaccination for members of parliament started on January 29 with 289 lower house representatives. A total of 314 upper house representatives and military representatives received their jabs on January 30. And 11.061 health workers and volunteers were also vaccinated on January 30 and 3.453 more on January 31.
Currently, elderly monks and people aged 65 and above are receiving Covid-19 jabs in some regions and states.
On February 20 also, over 900 officers with a rank of assistant director from union ministries were vaccinated. On February 19, over 450 officers from union ministries were immunized against Covid-19.
