The Department of Transport Planning under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, has announced that the online system for license renewals and license changes for transport vehicles will be implemented from February 10.

The online system for transport vehicles license renewals and license changes will be implemented as a trial period from February 10 to March 31, and will be fully implemented from April 1, initially in Yangon and Mandalay, according to the department.

An agreement was signed between the Department of Transport Planning and Secure Link Company in August 2024 to implement the online system.

In addition, the system construction period will continue for six months, and the public can apply at all regional, state, district and township offices for transport vehicle licenses through websites, web portals and mobile phones, according to the department.

The Department of Transport Planning is issuing the following types of licenses: goods transport business license (A license), passenger transport business license (B license), charter passenger transport business license (C license), contract goods transport business license (D license), and transport business license for private use (E license).
