The government has invited Myanmar expats and former Myanmar citizens who want to help the country’s reforms for peace and development, according to the official letters issued by Myanmar Permanent Representative Offices in Geneva and New York and Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, on January 13.

The letter states that the Myanmar government is implementing the tasks for the Union peace, the building of democratic federal union and development through collaborative efforts of the public.

For peace and development, the government is making the reforms in all sectors concurrently. Human resources development and the effective utilization of human resources at home and abroad are of great importance.

During her foreign trips, Myanmar State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi invited Myanmar expats and former Myanmar citizens to extend a helping hand to the nation-building tasks as much as they can, with the use of their experiences and knowledge. They also accepted the State Counsellor’s invitations, the letter says.

Interested Myanmar intellectuals and intelligentsia are invited to fill in the forms and send them to officials of the Permanent Representative Offices and embassy.
