Heavy clashes between military[ Tatmadaw] and a combined tea---KNLA, KTLA and PDF occurred near Kawkareik Township, Kayin State, since the beginning of yesterday morning and 14-year-old boy died and a woman was injured due to explosion of heavy weapons, according to the locals.
“A young boy namely Aung Myint Myat was hit by heavy shells while he was sleeping at his home. The shells hit his head and he died on the spot. Moreover, a woman was hit by heavy shells. We heard the voice of gunshots out in the street until yesterday noon,” said the locals.
The intensified clashes started Ywarthitgone village situated on Asia Road in Kawkareik Township and some civilian buildings were damaged during the fighting.
Likewise, four were injured due to the explosion of heavy shells dropped in the villages of Kawkareik Township, Kayin State, around 3:15 pm of March 23rd. Now, the victims are being hospitalized in Kawkareik District People’s Hospital.
In Kachin State, the Kachin Independence Army and PDFs blindly opened fires on the Tunchaung village, Shweku Township, Kachin State, at night of March 23rd and 25-year-old man was hit by heavy shells, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
