Yangon—Five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported on 10 July (Friday), according to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
All confirmed cases are found among the returnees. Two men from Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State with a recent travel history to Bangladesh, and the remaining two returnees with a travel history to India, tested positive for the vrius.
The total number of confirmed cases in Myanmar has reached 326, with six fatalities reported.
So far, 240 out of 256 recovered patients have been discharged from the respective hospitals.
The Ministry of Health and Sports plans to conduct the survey of stress, depression and mental health problems among the public during the COVID-19 period in Yangon. The ministry will provide technical advice for the mental health survey at the schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
