Firefighters take more than 13 hours to put out Grand Royal Distillery fire in Hmawby

It took more than 13 hours for firefighters to put out the fire at the Grand Royal Distillery in Hmawby Township, Yangon Region, according to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Services Department (MFSD).

The fire started at 3:30 pm on January 13 at the distillery and extinguished at 7:00 am on January 14, according to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Services Department.

According to the statement of the MFSD, the fire was stated as level 3 fire breakout and used fire trucks from the headquarters of the MFSD and township fire services department in the region to put out the fire closely supervised by Director U Myat Thu from the MFSD.

According to charitable organizations, more than 20 members of the MFSD and charity organizations were injured in the incidence.
