A ferry vehicle caught fire near Yuzana Housing in Dagon Seikkan Township, Yangon Region, injuring 14 people, according to reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on September 5 in Ward 92 on Bago River Road, according to a statement from the Fire Department.

The fire broke out in a ferry transport vehicle, and 14 individuals sustained injuries, according to humanitarian groups who arrived at the scene.

"The ferry overturned and caught fire. Fourteen people were injured. Our team transported them to the hospital," said a representative from a humanitarian group who arrived at the scene.

The injured were taken to Sanpya Hospital, and no critical cases were reported.

"We transported the 14 injured individuals to Sanpya Hospital using our team’s vehicles. Fortunately, there are no severe cases," the representative added.

According to the Fire Department’s statement, two fire trucks from the Dagon Seikkan Township Fire Station were dispatched to extinguish the blaze.
