YANGON-The Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) announced that there will be many more infectious diseases due to reopening of factories and massive returnees from abroad.

The announcement urged all health workers and those who participated in the preventive measures against COVID-19 not to reduce their momentum in the surveillance of confirmed COVID-19 cases and their contacts, restrictions and control and treatments of the COVID-19 virus.

It also urged the public to stay at home as much as possible, to keep social distancing and to wash hands frequently. If there is sickness and cough, the public must seek to receive medical treatment at the health department. Moreover, the announcement called on the public to strictly follow the COVID-19 prevention instructions being laid down by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The MOHS also released a statement yesterday at night that six new COVID-19 cases including one from No.2 military hospital in Nay Pyi Taw were detected bringing total numbers to 161.
