An explosion occured on the pedestrian bridge over Bogyoke Aung San Road in front of Bogyoke Market in Pabedan Township, Yangon Region, at about 6.30 am today, according to local sources.

News about any casualty is still unknown, and the bridge has been closed for a temporarily period.

A nearby resident said: “Today, Bogyoke Market is closed. We don’t know about any casualty caused by the blast. The bridge is closed now. But new Bogyoke Market remains open.”

The pedestrian bridge connects Bogyoke Market to new Bogyoke Market and Junction City.
