MYAUNGMYA-Under the drinking water donation program, Eleven Media Group together with the well-wishers and Charity teams in Latputta Township donated drinking water and foodstuff to the seaside villages in Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

Those seaside villages face not only water shortage but also food difficulties.

Drinking water, rice and edible oil were carried to coastal villages by the motorboats from Latputta Township.

“The teacher from seaside village asked me to donate water. The seaside villages already faced scarcity of water. Some villagers are in need of foodstuff. So, we collected the household list and planned to donate water and foodstuff. There are about 50 households. The water and foodstuff were carried by motorboats. On behalf of the locals, I thanked the EMG and other well-wishers for their donation. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, many villages face not only water shortage but also foodstuff difficulties. I carefully made water and foodstuff donation program aiming not to happen the crowd,” said a monk from Charity Team in Latputta Township.

Eleven Media Group started a water donation program in the beginning of 2016 by using the bowsers provided by the Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation. The EMG donates thousands gallons of water yearly to Ayeyawady Region. Moreover, EMG built water storage lakes and dug artesian well in the region.
