Discussion being made to implement a new trade route via Yangon port and border areas

A discussion was made to implement a new trade route via Yangon port and border areas to  provinces in southern and western parts of China according to Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.

Mr.Zhang Juna. Chair of South Asia future Investment group Pte.Ltd met Minister Aung Naing Oo of Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations on February 16 and discussed to implement a new trade route via Yangon port and border areas. They also discussed matters on export of fishery products, investment in real estate, development in urban infrastructure, international trade, selling Myanmar products via online and investment in jade and gems sector.

In order to effectively carry out China-Myanmar economic corridor, 12 working groups have formed under joint committee on China-Myanmar economic corridor by order (1/2021).

Myanmar has signed   MoU on Myanmar-China economic corridor (2019-2030) and agreements on economic and technology sector in 2019.
