A delivery boy was beaten and robbed by five unidentified men after being followed in their light truck in East Dagon Township, Yangon, on June 6, the delivery company the victim works for reported.  

The incident happened in Ward No.10 of East Dagon at about 2pm. The young man is a delivery rider from Touch Delivery Myanmar. 

The Facebook page of the delivery company said: “A young rider from our office was beaten and robbed on Bo Saw Naung Road, Ward No.10 of East Dagon Township around 2pm.”

About five men hit him on the head after being followed in a light truck. When the boy fell off his bicycle, they hit him again.

“About five men were in a light truck. They followed the boy and hit him on the head. After falling off his bicycle by a ditch, he was hit again and robbed of all the cash and receipt book for delivered items. He couldn’t respond. He suffered minor injuries. He had been to a clinic and had an X-ray. We posted this information just for vigilance,” the delivery company’s Facebook page said.
