COVID-19 patient from Kyaikto Township discharged after completing medical observation

According to a statement from the Kyaikto Township Health Department under the Ministry of Health, a COVID-19 patient from Baw Yargyi Village in Kyaikto Township has been discharged from the hospital today (June 23) after completing the required period of medical observation.

The patient, a man from Bo Yargyi Village, tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of June 15 and was subsequently transferred to Kyaikto Township General Hospital by the local community-based volunteer organization.

He was placed in an isolation ward at the hospital and received appropriate medical care. As he has now completed the full observation period, he has been officially discharged today (June 23), according to the township health department and a source close to the matter.

From June 8 to June 15, a total of 24 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Mon State, according to official reports from the Ministry of Health.

Of those, 23 cases were reported in Bilin Township and one case in Kyaikto Township. The patient from Kyaikto has now been discharged, and several patients from Bilin have also been discharged, according to hospital sources.

So far in June, a total of 25 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in Mon State, based on data released by the Ministry of Health.
