One hundred and fifty four more people have tested positive for Covid-19 and five more patients from Yangon Region died, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 am on September 19.
In the second batch for September 18, 2,718 Covid-19 samples were tested – 1,017 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 282 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), 165 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine), 84 by Sittway People’s Hospital, 13 by Hpa-an People’s Hospital, 16 by Pathein People’s Hospital, 16 by Pyay People’s Hospital, 5 by Myaungmya People’s Hospital, 3 by Myawady People’s Hospital, 188 by Nay Pyi Taw No (2) Defence Services Hospital (1000-bed) and 929 by Yangon No (1) Defence Services Hospital (1000-bed). Among them, 154 cases were reported.
Moreover, five more patients died till 8 am on September 19 and all the deaths were from Yangon Region.
In the first batch testing for September 18 also, 2,534 samples were tested and 168 new cases were found. The whole day therefore saw 322 confirmed cases.
Myanmar has so far seen 4,621 Covid-19 cases and 75 deaths.
