The number of Covid-19 cases in Myanmar has reached 2,445 after 23 more people were infected with the virus in the second batch testing for September 11, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 am today.
In the second batch for September 11, 1,634 samples were tested – 981 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 94 by the Department of Medical Research, 283 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), 163 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine), 12 by Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital (1000-bed), 12 by Sittway People’s Hospital, 29 by Kyaukphyu People’s Hospital, 22 by Muse People’s Hospital, 12 by Myaungmya People’s Hospital, 6 by Hpa-an People’s Hospital, 3 by Taungoo People’s Hospital, 3 by Loikaw People’s Hospital, 5 by Dawei People’s Hospital, 4 by Pathein People’s Hospital, 3 by Myawady People’s Hospital and 2 by Bhamo People’s Hospital. Among them, 23 new cases were reported bringing the total number to 2,445.
In the first batch for September 11, 157 cases were reported so the whole day saw 180 cases.
Myanmar has so far seen 2,445 Covid-19 cases and 14 deaths.
