Spokesperson of the State Administration Council (SAC) Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun said that clashes broke out in Namkham, Muse 105 mile, near the office of the Kayah State police force, Htigyaing and Khampat.
He made these remarks when holding a news brief on clashes broke out in Shan State (North), Kayah State, Htigyaing and Khampat in Sagaing Region on December 14.
“Exchange of fire took place between Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the military in north-east of Shan State, Namkham and Muse 105 mile, near the office of the Kayah State police force, Htigyaing and Khampat in Sagaing Region on December 14. In the past, TNLA said Khampat was under their control. We are carrying out security work in Khampat,” said SAC spokesman.
The government is safeguarding the three main national causes: non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of the national solidarity, perpetuation of national sovereignty as a national duty for the State, said Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun.
