MUSE----In Kyalgaung town at the Myanmar-China border entrance is denied to those trucks that flew NLD flags, and Chinese police are interrogating those wearing shirts bearing the NLD logo.

Ko Ah Shay Gyi, living in Kyalgaung said: " Now in Kyalgaung, whoever is wearing shirts with NLD logo is nabbed. They are told not to wear those shirts. For those who drive big trucks their trucks are being driven by those who do the shunting. The Chinese have written at the entry gates regarding this. It is not just about NLD. They do not want any flags or shirts with political bearings. They don't want anybody wearing these shirts. If anybody is seen wearing them they will be prosecuted as per Chinese laws. Yesterday and the day before the Chinese police were catching all those wearing such shirts. Some are questioned, and some are taken to the police station. It is not known whether they were released or not. In Kyalgaung vehicles have NLD flags. Those driving the cars wear NLD shirts. Inside Kyalgaung it is not allowed to wear NLD shirts".

Highway Goods Transportation Entrepreneurs Association president, Win Aung Khant, said that drivers of vehicles with NLD party flags stuck in their cars drive into Kyalgaung . The Chinese police follow these cars and tell them to remove those flags. The drivers are questioned and then released. He further said that theycare a communist country. They don't have any elections. They don't allow any party flags. Each country has its regulations and we have to follow their law when we are in their country. There must be mutual respect.

U Aung Min from Tharaphi goods terminal said the Chinese police told them to remove all stickers and words and warned them that if they are found again in their country they would be prosecuted according to their law.

Just now all those trucks inside Kyalgaung are being stripped of NLD logo and other stickers, and are waiting for Muse. These trucks number more than 700. Previously there were nearly 350 vehicles per day moving in and out, but now there are only about 60 trucks per day.

It is known that at 2pm on 8th Oct. more than 900 people campaigning for NLD in Kyalgaung and Shweli without permission were sent to jail in Sikaing. They were released on 9th Oct, but three persons thought to be the leaders are still being held and interrogated to this day.
