MUSE----Kyel Gaung of Ruli of the Republic of China already has been designated Covid-19 outbreak as yellow level allowing Myanmar citizens to leave for home through Nandaw tollgate in Muse District, northern Shan State situated on Myanmar-China border on August 16th.
The Chinese government had closed its factories in Kyel Gaung of Ruli in Yunnaing province during Covid-19 third wave starting in April and then Kyel Gaung had been placed under Lockdown.
At that time, Myanmar citizens face difficulties of jobless and food problem so also Myanmar were in trouble off the legal closure of border gates.
There are seven border gates being marked the boundary between Muse Township in Myanmar and Ruli in China. However, China closed seven border gates since the beginning of April and they faced Covid-19 surge.
Due to the effects, officials from Kyel Gaung allowed Myanmar citizens who wanted to go home with their desires to return their natives through illegal routes on June 15.
The Myanmar citizens asked the helps to social organizations in Muse through CSOs from Ruli’s Kyel Gaung.
That’s why social organizations in Muse Township planned to evacuate Myanmar citizens who had stranded in Ruli’s Kyel Gaung via official China-Myanmar border gates.
From July 16th to August 10th, totaling 4,654 Myanmar citizens had returned from Kyel Gaung.
China closed departure of Myanmar returnees since the beginning of August 10th but they allowed Myanmar citizens to return home only August 16th.
There are totaling 220 Myanmar returnees on August 16th.
