MANDALAY-----Two department stores in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region were robbed around 10 pm of December 4th, according to the sources.

Two unknown gunmen wearing helmets arrived at the Top One Store situated between 104th street and 105th street on 56th Street in Chanmyathazi Township and they threatened the staffs with the guns and took some cash in the counter.

Afterwards, they proceeded to 110th Street (Manawhayi) where they robbed again G & G store and took the cash.

“We knew that armed robberies occurred at two department stores at the same time and armed robbers threatened the department stores with the guns and they took money. We didn’t know how much were taken away. Moreover, there is no one on the Manawhayi road at night. So, the gunmen committed the robberies at the two department stores,” said nearby resident.
