According to reports from local residents, an aftershock occurred in Mandalay.
It is reported that the quake happened around 2:48 PM on September 3.
“It felt like a sudden jolt. There was a single, sharp shake,” said a Mandalay resident.
The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has not yet issued any statement regarding this recent aftershock.
On September 2, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology had announced that an aftershock with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale had occurred, centered about 25 miles southwest of Yedashe, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has stated that over 225 aftershocks have occurred in the more than five months since the major powerful earthquake.
