Chin State Government has sent a letter to the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre (NRPC) to help the freeing of 82 abducted by the Arakan Army (AA) in Paletwa Township in Chin State. According to the list, the AA abducted 82 civilians including students, said Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Committee.

“Chin State government has informed Tatmadaw about the letter sent to the NRPC. The victims are from Khamaungwa, Thanhtaung, Nanchaungwa and Wonchaungwa villages. The total number is 82,” he added.

On October 31, the Office of the Commander-in-Chief issued a statement about the arrest of civilians in China State.

Families, relatives of victims have yet to get any information about them. The AA does not  release them till now. Chin State government has asked for the help from the NRPC and relevant ministries for the freeing of victims. The AA is carrying out the destruction of roads and bridges, arrest of villagers and the killings of those who do not support them, according to the statement by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief.
